5 – Gerenuk
- Speaking of animals, these goofy looking guys are also pretty strange.
- It’s called a Gerenuk, or sometimes kown as a Giraffe-Gazelle because of its strangely long neck. They live in the Horn of Africa and generally just spend their days foraging for leaves and berries. Their height gives them an advantage over regular sized gazelles, so they can reach higher leaves just like giraffes do.
- It might just be me, but they have strangely hypnotic faces. Like they’re saying: ‘hey, whatcha doin’ over there with that big old camera?’
4 – Egg Loaf
- This is unfortunately exactly what it appears to be: a loaf of egg.
- At first glance, it seems like an offensive idea. Did a chicken really poop out a whole cylinder of perfectly boiled egg? That poor, brave chicken. But actually, the way the egg loaf is made is by extracting the whites and yolks of many different eggs, and then mixing them back together in a long, sliceable delicious egg tube.
- An egg loaf isn’t that weird when you consider chicken nuggets are just mashed up chickens inside nuggets. Chickens just keep on giving.
3 – Gel Fridge
- If we’re still using refrigerators in the future, this is what they will look like.
- This is called a Bio Robot Refrigerator, and it was designed by Yuriy Dmitriev from Russia. You push foods directly into the robotic bio-gel plastic which has no odor and isn’t sticky, and it suspends your snacks in a state of refrigeration. According to Dmitriev, the fridge can be mounted sideways or even on the ceiling and only uses a fraction of the electricity that regular fridges do.
- I feel like it’d make staring into a fridge out of boredom a whole lot more entertaining.
2 – False Mourners
- Of all of the jobs that have ever existed, a company in the UK has possibly taken it way too far.
- People in England are actually getting paid to attend empty funerals to make it look more populated. You can rent a couple of fake mourners for an hourly fee to attend any funeral or wake in order to make your dead relatives seem more popular. They will mingle with guests or be quiet and discreet, depending on your funeral socialising needs.

- These portable fat freezing machines promise to latch onto your giant floppy thighs and literally freeze the fat cells to death. It doesn’t affect cellulite however, so it just targets ‘pockets’ of blubber from your body. Users have noted how the fat freezing machines have succeeded in removing odd shaped chunks from underarms and their giant butts.
- If you want to lose weight, maybe change your lifestyle instead of purchasing a magic thinning machine from the internet.
