5 – Mademoiselle Maurice

  • 2013, the ARTAQ Festival in Angers, France – French artists Mademoiselle Maurice alongside hundreds of volunteers creates this long image across a wall
  • At first glance you might think it’s a simple painting, but on closer inspection you’ll see it’s actually made up of 30,000 pieces of origami half-folded to make up two separate pieces of art as you can see here
  • Maurice is renowned for her colourful, playful approach to street art

4 – Another Grand Canyon

  • Kurt Wenner known as the 3D chalk master created a portal into a new Grand Canyon
  • It took him 150 hours of hard work to complete and he decided to paint it from the perspective of the Canyon’s southern rim
  • Today, it’s a well-known tourist photo opportunity – just like the real Grand Canyon

3 – Visit Britain

  • A Chinese illustration by British Artist Joe Hill to promote the United Kingdom’s landmarks
  • He’s been known to tour the world creating similar 3D images but this one is VERY elaborate painted on two walls and a huge patch of floor

2 – One

  • Chinese artist DALeast has a distinctive technique of 3D street art which he displays all over the world
  • His artwork depicts twisted metal animals interacting with our world, and in this example you see two deer bound together by a cord of light, representing the bond between two animals

1 – Interesni Kazki

  • Our last example of street art comes from a Ukrainian duo AEC and Waone – the Interesni Kazki duo, who usually create vibrant art including sci-fi, Mexican folk tales, classical and religious art
  • They usually use acrylic paint with rollers, but they also use spray cans
