4. Scrubbing with Sequins

There’s a difference between “need” and “want”. You need food, for example, but want a new video game.

Sometimes people get things they need for Christmas, and not necessarily things they want. One woman got a toilet brush from her sister. While not an ideal Christmas gift, it’s a fact that toilet bowls need scrubbing. Maybe she needed a toilet brush, so the gift was still reasonable. Her sister probably felt the gift was still boring and wanted to dazzle it a bit, so she glued sequins to the brush and its base.

Who knows? The brush probably does its job just fine, and hopefully it doesn’t clash with her gold-plated plunger.

3. Bedtime Story

There are people who love to read, so giving them books as Christmas presents is a good idea.

But the giver needs to keep in mind the book’s intended audience. One Christmas, a 22-year-old man who loved to read received a book. Nothing unusual there, until he looked at the title. It was from National Geographic, and it was an educational children’s book about dinosaurs. Even though the man was interested in dinosaurs at a young age, he wasn’t expecting to receive anything having to do with dinosaurs once he entered his teenage years.

Well, it’s the thought that counts. Right…?

2. Growing Relationship

Most singles have visited family for Christmas, only to have them ask about their social lives. Sometimes, their families will even go so far as to try and fix them up with someone.

Well, this woman’s family tried fixing her up with a man. This was someone who didn’t snore, wouldn’t complain, was polite, and always agreed among other things. But this was no ordinary man – it was a small plastic figure where, if you added water, would grow 600 times its original size. Apparently, the woman’s parents gave it to her as a joke, but let’s just say she wasn’t laughing.

Well-played, parents. Well-played.

1. Oooo, Yeah, Christmas Tree

Christmas trees aren’t normally known as being risqué. Along with lights and tinsel, you’ll see ornaments that depict Santa, snowmen, gingerbread men – anything synonymous with Christmas.

Now imagine seeing condoms next to these Christmas ornaments. It was certainly surprising to one person who received such a tree, a small one that could easily sit atop a desk. While it’s unclear who the gift actually came from, receiving such a gift in itself is off-putting. In addition, these were latex condoms, and this person was deathly allergic to latex!

Apparently, condom Christmas trees are, oddly, a common thing. If a condom Christmas tree isn’t your thing, there’s always this “condom Santa”!
